Supreme Court Stays Injunctions against Travel Ban

The United States Supreme Court issued an order in Hawaii v. Trump staying the district court's preliminary injunction pending disposition of the government's appeal in the Ninth Circuit and disposition of the government's petition for a writ of certiorari, if one is sought. A similar order was issued by the Supreme Court in Trump v. IRAP. In effect, these orders mean that the Presidential Proclamation issued September 24, 2017 (commonly known as “Travel Ban 3.0”) will go into full effect while appeal is pending.
