Andrew Kaplan Speaker at ESA Energy Storage Conference: Engaging RTOs/ISOs on Order 841: Developing Recommendations and Strategies for Shaping Compliance

Pierce Atwood energy law partner Andrew Kaplan, a well-known authority in energy storage, will discuss FERC’s recent Order 841 and the opportunities for energy storage resources to compete in wholesale markets. This strategy session will take a deep-dive into the Order, assess where RTOs/ISOs are not yet in compliance, outline the general stakeholder process and timeline, anticipate key areas of potential conflict, and discuss what ESA will recommend to RTOs/ISOs in the various places where there is latitude.

ESA, the Energy Storage Association, is the leading trade association for companies that develop and deploy the wide range of energy storage technologies. Member companies research, manufacture, distribute, finance, and build energy storage projects domestically and abroad.

Now in its 28th year, ESA’s annual conference and expo is brings together decision makers, leaders, and other stakeholders from around the industry who understand that energy storage is “integral to all systems planning and deployment.” Click here for ESA’s Energy Storage Conference agenda.
