Karishma Jiva Cartwright

Karishma Cartwright focuses her practice on drafting and prosecuting software-based patent applications, including machine-learning algorithms and Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, for large and small corporations, startups, and universities.

She has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. and foreign jurisdictions for the following technology areas: speech processing, image processing, consumer devices, user experience (UX) interfaces, big data processing, business methods, financial methods, network communications, electronics, medical devices, and mechanical systems.

Before joining Pierce Atwood, Karishma was an associate at a large general practice firm. Prior to that, she was an associate at a boutique IP firm, where she prepared and prosecuted patent applications for startups and technology companies in Silicon Valley.
