Pierce Atwood's employment group held a 2023 Employment Law Midyear Update on Thursday, May 18 in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

The program started with lunch at noon and wrap up with a cocktail hour. In between, we covered the following important topics:

  • Bonuses - e.g., signing, annual, claw back provisions, pro-rating when an employee is on leave
  • Separation Agreements - e.g., impact of McLaren decision, layoff reminders, state law confidentiality provisions
  • Conducting effective investigations in response to reports of harassment, including microaggressions
  • Independent contractor classifications and agreements

By popular demand, we also held a breakout discussion session so that attendees can hear from peers about how they are handling a particular workplace issue.
