Marianna Putnam Liddell Named ACTEC Fellow

PORTLAND, Maine - The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) has named Pierce Atwood partner and Trusts & Estates Practice Group Chair Molly Liddell a Fellow. ACTEC is a prestigious organization of attorneys in the active practice of trust and estate law. The election of a Fellow is based on his or her outstanding reputation, exceptional skill, and substantial contributions to the field by lecturing, writing, teaching, and participating in bar activities. Fellows must have a minimum of ten years of practice in the field of trusts and estates, and be nominated by an existing Fellow not affiliated with their own firm. Molly was one of 32 new Fellows from across the United States, Canada, Austria, and Spain elected at the 2018 annual meeting.

Molly’s practice involves estate planning, estate administration, trust administration, business succession planning, prenuptial agreements, and probate litigation.  Molly is one of five Maine attorneys recognized by Chambers USA High Net Worth Guide for Private Wealth Law in "Band 1." She also serves on Pierce Atwood’s Management Committee and is on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court's Probate and Trust Law Advisory Commission.

Molly earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Boston College Law School and is a member of the Order of the Coif. She was also senior executive editor of BC Law School’s International and Comparative Law Review.
