The Summit Project Thanks Pierce Atwood for Pro Bono Support

Pierce Atwood associate Mike Hernandez, a member of The Summit Project’s Board of Directors, accepted a plaque thanking the firm for providing pro bono support for “trademarking, legal services, and the structuring of our future state goal of national expansion.”

The Summit Project is a living memorial that honors and keeps alive the memories of Maine’s post-9/11 fallen soldiers, “through education, fellowship, and physical activity.” Surviving families unearth and donate stones that uniquely represent their loved ones. Volunteers commit to learning about the lives and sacrifices of the fallen, and then carry their tribute stones and share their stories on treks throughout Maine and across the world.
