Paula Devereaux Receives 2025 NAIOP Massachusetts Government Affairs Champion Award
Pierce Atwood commercial real estate and land use attorney Paula Devereaux has received the 2025 NAIOP Massachusetts Government Affairs Champion Award for her many years of advocacy work, providing input on a wide range of issues, from drafting and reviewing amicus briefs, to Ch 91 legislative and regulatory reforms, and countless comment letters and testimony.
When announcing the award, NAIOP Massachusetts CEO Tamara Small stated, “Over the course of more than two decades, Paula has been instrumental in shaping NAIOP’s advocacy work. Her legal expertise has allowed the organization to weigh in on countless legislative, regulatory, and judicial matters affecting commercial real estate. We are honored to present her with this well-deserved award and recognize the impact she has had on NAIOP and the entire industry.”
Paula has long been active in the real estate community, serving in leadership roles and on several boards. She is former NAIOP Vice President of Public Affairs, and a past president of the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts (REBA). Paula is also member of The Abstract Club Executive Committee, and a lecturer on real estate and Boston zoning practices for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE).
Paula has been recognized by Chambers & Partners and The Best Lawyers in America® for Real Estate Law, Land Use & Zoning Law, and was Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” for Land Use & Zoning Law in 2022. She was also recognized as a “Go To” Commercial Real Estate Lawyer in Massachusetts by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in 2023.
