Little Bulman Joins Pierce Atwood in December 2013
Pierce Atwood is delighted to announce that the law firm of Little Bulman Medeiros & Whitney PC will be joining Pierce Atwood LLP on December 9, 2013. The combined firm will create larger and deeper complex commercial litigation and construction litigation practices and enhance the current strengths of both firms significantly.
Recognized for its expertise in construction and business disputes and its handling of complex litigation matters, Little Bulman has been one of the leading firms in southeastern New England. The firm’s experienced litigators are admitted in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Pierce Atwood is one of the largest and most well-respected New England firms, providing a full array of legal services. The combined firms will have strong regional complex commercial litigation and construction litigation practices spanning Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
“We are very excited to have the attorneys of Little Bulman join us,” said Gloria Pinza, managing partner of Pierce Atwood. “Their exceptional credentials in the construction law arena will combine with our strong construction practice to create a regional practice that will provide highly competitive expertise, depth and value throughout New England and beyond. In addition, the quality of the Little Bulman practice in complex commercial litigation generally, as evidenced by their many recognitions in Chambers, Best Lawyers and the like, when combined with our similarly distinguished roster of Pierce Atwood litigators gives us a regional commercial litigation practice that we believe is second to none.”
Operating under the Pierce Atwood name, the combined firm will have approximately 140 attorneys in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, enhancing Pierce Atwood’s regional complex litigation and construction practices substantially in Rhode Island, where ten attorneys will now be located.
“We are very pleased to be joining with Pierce Atwood in order to better serve the clients of both firms,” said John Bulman, a partner at Little Bulman. “Pierce Atwood is one of the most established and highly respected firms in New England. For more than 20 years, we have worked diligently to provide our clients with the best legal advice and the best value. This will deepen our expertise and capacity throughout New England for both litigation and transactions.”
The Little Bulman practice was founded in 1993 by Christopher Little, who was joined by John Bulman in 1995. In 1999 Christopher Whitney and Matthew Medeiros joined the firm. During the ensuing decade, the firm gained recognition as an authority in complex business litigation and construction law.
