Griffin Leschefske Panelist at Maine State Bar Association Program: One Big Beautiful Estate Planning CLE

Pierce Atwood Trusts & Estates attorney Griffin Leschefske will participate in a panel discussion on the federal and Maine estate planning landscape following the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

This discussion will summarize some of the significant changes in the new federal tax law that are relevant to estate planning, and  focus on Maine estate planning opportunities, strategies, and issues under OBBBA and Maine law.

Specific topics will include estate planning for income tax basis step planning, charitable planning, planning for “gap estates” between the Maine exemption of $7 million and OBBBA’s $15 million exemption, and unwinding “sunset” estate planning strategies that are no longer relevant.

This program will take place Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 12:00-1:30 PM and is available in person and Zoom. Please visit Maine State Bar Association for more information and registration instructions.

Griff Leschefske focuses his practice on estate planning, charitable giving, probate, trust, and fiduciary litigation, in which he represents individuals, families, fiduciaries, and institutional clients in all aspects of trust and estate planning, administration, and controversy.
