Anna Polko Clark
Anna Clark focuses her practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and probate litigation. Anna advises individuals, families, fiduciaries, and business owners on a wide range of estate planning matters, including preparing wills and trusts and developing effective succession planning strategies for businesses.
With more than a decade of experience in trust and estate planning, administration, business services, and probate and fiduciary litigation, Anna provides practical, strategic counsel tailored to each client’s goals. She regularly assists clients in pre-litigation negotiations and mediations, and her breadth of experience allows her to anticipate potential areas of conflict and help clients proactively address them through thoughtful planning.
Prior to joining Pierce Atwood, Anna was a partner in another Portland-based law firm and previously practiced at a smaller law firm in York County (Maine).
Anna also gained valuable insight clerking for the Honorable Jeffrey L. Hjelm of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. While in law school, Anna served as a production editor of the Maine Law Review and worked as a student attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic.
Anna lives in southern Maine with her husband and three children and enjoys cooking, gardening, and exploring Maine with family and friends.
