Pierce Atwood Adds Andrea Suter as Counsel in Business Practice Group

Pierce Atwood is pleased to announce that Andrea Suter has been added as Business Practice Group counsel in the firm’s Portland office. 

Andrea’s practice focuses on mergers & acquisitions, finance, and general corporate and commercial law issues. She represents start-up, family owned, and established companies in a wide range of businesses and industries, and financial institutions in connection with secured and unsecured lending.

Prior to joining Pierce Atwood, Andrea worked at well-respected law firms in California’s Bay Area and New York where she advised clients on growing and realizing value through strategic mergers and acquisitions; efficiently raising capital through private placements, venture round financing and traditional lending; protecting interests through entity formation, governance, management and day-to day commercial agreements; and documenting and amending secured and unsecured credit facilities.

Andrea is a volunteer attorney with Pine Tree Legal Assistance, defending consumers against third-party debt collection claims. Pine Tree provides free civil legal assistance to low income people in Maine.

Andrea received her J.D. from University of California Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) and her B.A in Art History, American and Greek Art from UCLA.
