Pierce Atwood Receives 2019 Law Firm of the Year Award from Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project

Pierce Atwood is pleased to announce that ILAP Maine has selected the firm as its 2019 Law Firm of the Year Award in recognition of its commitment to pro bono work on behalf of asylum seekers and other non-citizens. Pierce Atwood has been a strong supporter of ILAP for many years by donating hundreds of hours annually to cases referred by ILAP, and by hosting pro bono training in our Portland, Maine office.

This year’s award will be presented at the January 31, 2010 meeting of the Maine Bar Association. Emily L. Cooke, the partner in charge of the firm’s pro bono program, will be on hand to accept the award.

The Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project helps low income immigrants improve their legal status and works for more just and humane laws and policies affecting immigrants.
