Pierce Atwood Names Emily L. Cooke Chair of Banking & Financial Services Practice

Pierce Atwood LLP is pleased to announce that firm partner Emily L. Cooke has been named Chair of the Banking & Financial Services Practice. Emily succeeds firm partner Jack Manheimer.

Emily’s practice focuses on commercial transactions, compliance, and corporate governance for a range of clients, including banks and other financial institutions, health care organizations, insurance industry participants, educational institutions, nonprofit entities, and small businesses.

Emily negotiates third-party vendor contracts for banking services, negotiates master services agreements for outsourcing critical processing functions for national bank and insurers, and provides advice and counsel to financial institutions on a range of compliance and regulatory matters, including privacy and data security.

Emily earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, is a member of the Order of the Coif, and was notes editor of Georgetown Law Journal.  She received her B.A. cum laude from Dartmouth College.
