Pierce Atwood to Host World Affairs Council of Maine with Special Guest Ambassador Swanee Hunt

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Pierce Atwood is pleased to host “Women’s Roles in Peace + Security,” a luncheon and conversation with Ambassador Swanee Hunt, who served as US Ambassador to Austria from 1993-1997, during the Bosnian War.

Ambassador Hunt is the founder of Women Waging Peace, a global network of women seeking to transform and resolve conflict across the world. She is also the founding director of the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard’s Kennedy School. Her most recent book, Rwandan Women Rising, outlines the incredible role that Rwandan women played in working toward a lasting peace for their nation.

Pierce Atwood is pleased to welcome World Affairs Council (WAC) members and its guests for this important event, to be held on March 9, 2018 in our Portland, Maine office. Please visit WAC of Maine for more information.
