Ron LaRocca represents businesses in a wide range of matters spanning multiple practice areas, including ERISA, construction, and energy disputes. He has experience representing businesses in a variety of commercial contexts and concentrates his practice in providing practical solutions for clients. Ron is a member of the firm's litigation group and regularly practices before regulatory agencies and state and federal courts.
A regular contributor to legal journals, Ron has published in the Rhode Island Bar Journal and DRI's For the Defense magazine. He has also provided numerous seminars to various trade groups, both locally and nationally, on topics ranging from insurance to constitutional due process in the public housing industry.
The Rhode Island Bar Association awarded him the Lauren E. Jones Award for his article discussing the attorney-client privilege and its application to public bodies. Ron is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and DRI's Life, Health, and Disability Committee. He also provides pro bono representation as part of the Rhode Island Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyer's Program.
In addition to Ron's work at Pierce Atwood, he is an officer in the United States Navy Reserve.
During law school, Ron was the Rhode Island Editor of the Roger Williams University Law Review and externed with Judge William Smith in the Rhode Island Federal District Court.
