Community Involvement

Each year, our attorneys and staff leave the office for a Day of Community Service.  Since 2004, we are proud to have served a number of deserving New England charitable organizations, including: Rippleeffect, Youth Alternatives, Goodwill Industries, Camp Ketcha, Long Creek Youth Development Center, Camp Sunshine, Crossroads for Women, Strawbery Banke, Volunteers of America, Habitat for Humanity and Pro Portsmouth.

Pierce Atwood holds an annual campaign to support the United Way of Greater Portland.  For each of the past ten years, we have contributed more than $60,000.  We also support the United Way Loaned Executive program with an annual sponsorship pledge and have been one of the top 25 company donors in Portland for the past five years.

Attorneys in our Washington, DC office participated in the Washington Lawyers' Committee's 11th Annual Cooking for Kids Bake Sale and Taste-Off competition to raise funds for DC public schools.

We provide funding to the Gulf of Maine Research Institute that has helped make field trips to the GMRI facility possible for students at the Chebeague Island School and the Lakes Region Middle School.
