Harsha Vangapaty advises clients on patent law with a focus on obtaining patent protection. He has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of machine learning/artificial intelligence, wireless communications, computer vision, robotics, cloud computing, virtualization, augmented/virtual reality, computer security, data storage, image processing, satellite communication, 3D printing/additive manufacturing, and medical devices.

Harsha also conducts IP due diligence in technology transactions, performing freedom-to-operate and patentability assessments, and has assisted in IP litigation for a wide range of clients.

Prior to joining Pierce Atwood, Harsha worked at ArentFox Schiff LLP in San Francisco, California where he led patent harvesting sessions, developed patent portfolios, and prepared claim charts for standards related patent applications. Before that, Harsha worked at international and boutique IP law firms where he drafted and prosecuted patent applications in various technology areas.
