Ruta Skučas Panel Moderator at S&P Global Platts 11th Annual Nodal Trader Conference
Ruta Kalvaitis Skučas, a partner in Pierce Atwood’s Energy Practice Group, will moderate the panel discussion, “Rulemakings of Price Formations and How They Impact the Markets,” at S&P Global Platts 11th Annual Nodal Trader Conference in New York this fall.
The panel will provide an overview of the potential market or regulatory reforms that Congress or FERC should consider in order to increase the market benefits associated with financial trading, investigate whether or not demand response is adequately incorporated into price formation, discuss grid resiliency efforts and their impact on price formation changes, and examine the role of renewables in price volatility.
Speakers on the panel include a managing partner at Appian Way Energy Partners, the president of Monitoring Analytics, the VP of Potomac Economics, and the executive director of Market Operations at PJM.
