Pierce Atwood Engages Len Gerzon as Senior Property Tax Advisor
Pierce Atwood LLP recently engaged Leonard Gerzon, to serve as Senior Advisor, Property Tax. Mr. Gerzon and Pierce Atwood’s State and Local Tax Group have teamed up to provide high level property tax services to energy and industrial property owners throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine. Len, Principal of Len Gerzon, LLC, has more than 30 years of experience in industrial property tax matters, particularly in the energy and utility field.
Len has served as the Property Tax Supervisor and Senior Consultant at Northeast Utilities/PSNH, New Hampshire's largest electric utility and the state's largest taxpayer. While there, Len formulated the full spectrum of policies pertaining to PSNH's Property Tax function, including developing the mediation model for settling property tax disputes.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the New Hampshire Assessing Standards Board and is a certified member (CMI) of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, a former member of the Nashua Mediation Program, and a subscribing member of the Massachusetts Assessors Association and the New Hampshire Assessors Association.
Len holds an M.B.A. from Suffolk University and a B.A. from Brandeis University.
