Nicholas P. Brown

Nick is an associate in the Litigation and the Energy Practice Groups where he represents public utilities and other parties on a variety of energy matters involving state and federal regulators. Recently, Nick assisted with the presentation of cases at the DPU and another public utility commission on tariffs and transactional and renewable energy credit matters. Nick also has experience in business and construction litigation where he has successfully represented both public and private entities in state and federal courts.

While in law school Nick was a Teachers's Assistant of Constitutional Law and worked as a law clerk in the Property & Casualty Law Group at a major insurance company in Hartford, Connecticut. Nick’s educational experience at UConn also included an externship with the United States Postal Service legal department defending Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board and Title VII employment discrimination claims.
