President Obama Renominates Cheryl LaFleur to a Second Term at FERC

President Obama has re-nominated Cheryl LaFleur to a second term at FERC. Originally from New England, she has served as the Acting Chairman of FERC since November 25, 2013.

Prior to joining FERC in 2010, Acting Chairman LaFleur had more than 20 years’ experience as a leader in the electric and natural gas industry. She served as executive vice president and acting CEO of National Grid USA, responsible for the delivery of electricity to 3.4 million customers in the Northeast.

Her chairmanship at FERC remains temporary, as the President has re-nominated her for a second term as a Commissioner and the President’s nomination of Norman Bay as Chairman remains pending before the Senate.
