Pierce Atwood Expands Real Estate Practice: Donald G. Lussier Joins Firm as Partner in Boston Office

Pierce Atwood LLP is pleased to announce that Donald G. Lussier has joined its Boston office as a partner in the Real Estate and Land Use Practice Groups. Don has more than 15 years of experience counseling sponsors and investors in acquiring, developing, operating, and disposing of commercial real estate, including multifamily complexes, hotel and hospitality properties, office buildings and parks, industrial buildings, shopping centers, and self-storage facilities throughout the United States.

Don provides legal guidance to his clients on all aspects of their businesses, including acquisitions, raising capital, financings, leasing, land use matters, dispositions, and operational issues. In addition, Don has a great deal of experience negotiating joint venture agreements between sponsors and private equity real estate investors, and in connection with private placements raising equity for real estate acquisitions. On the lending side, his experience includes representing both borrowers and lenders on bridge and permanent mortgage loans, construction loans, CMBS loans and mezzanine financings.

Before joining Pierce Atwood, Don was a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group at Saul Ewing LLP. Before that he was general counsel of Sawyer Realty Holdings LLC, a privately held, fully integrated real estate investment and management company specializing in the multifamily sector.

Don received his J.D. with distinction from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and his B.A cum laude from Boston University.
