Monetizing Energy Storage: Andrew Kaplan Authors Article in Public Utilities Fortnightly

Commissioned as part of Massachusetts’ $10 million Energy Storage Initiative, the Commonwealth has just released a 270-page report titled, “State of Change.” The report, cofounded by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, is designed to “thrust the Commonwealth into the vanguard of the expanding energy storage industry.”

According to article author Andrew O. Kaplan, a partner in Pierce Atwood’s Energy Practice Group who works closely with providers of energy storage in wholesale and retail markets, the report “analyzes the costs and benefits of upgrading the efficiency of Massachusetts’ grid infrastructure,” and “offers recommendations for growing the Commonwealth’s energy storage market and industry.”
