Michael J. Anderson Named Firm Partner

 

Pierce Atwood is pleased to announce that Business Practice Group attorney Michael Anderson has been named a firm partner. Michael’s practice focuses on general corporate, transactional, commercial finance, antitrust, and securities law compliance, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, private offerings, commercial contracting, and all aspects of corporate governance.  In this capacity, Michael counsels public and privately held companies at various stages of development and across a wide variety of industries.

Michael joined Pierce Atwood in 2009 after graduating magna cum laude from University of Maine School of Law and serving as law clerk to Chief Justice Leigh I. Saufley of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court .  He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Maine JumpStart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the financial knowledge of Maine students, and is a member of the Catholic Identity and Ministry Committee of the Mercy Hospital Board of Trustees.
