Pierce Atwood Intellectual Property attorneys Jonathan Gelchinsky and Vivek Rao will provide an “IP Crash Course for Maine Practitioners.” Jonathan and Vivek will present an overview of the law, including the basics of trademark, unfair competition, copyright, patent, and other federal and state laws designed to protect intangible rights. They will also offer tips and best practices for the practicing attorney.
Pierce Atwood Trusts & Estates attorney Molly Liddell, along with two financial and wealth management professionals will discuss “A Multidisciplinary Approach to Business Succession Planning.” Since fewer than 15% of business owners have a current, written succession plan, this session will focus on creating a systematic and well-coordinated approach between business clients and their professional advisors in order to arrive at the best possible outcome.
