Jon Gelchinsky and Jamie Baker Present Legal Bootcamp at UNH Entrepreneurship Center

Pierce Atwood partners Jon Gelchinsky and Jamie Baker present, "The Legal Basics: A First-timers Kit." For entrepreneurs with good ideas, it’s hard to know what legal steps are necessary to move forward with a new business. In this program, Jon and Jamie will discuss how to protect your idea, the various options on how to form for-profit, nonprofit, or social ventures (and the roles of various stakeholders from owners to boards of directors), the important documents for a new venture - from non-disclosure agreements to term sheets - and more.

Jamie Baker, a partner in the firm’s Business Practice Group, provides corporate counsel for emerging, later-state, and publicly traded companies throughout their life cycle. Jon Gelchinsky, a partner in the firm’s IP and Trademark Practice Groups, specializes in managing and advising on the global trademark portfolios of highly successful businesses of all sizes, and assists clients with the protection, enforcement, and licensing of copyrights.

This program, to be held at University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul Entrepreneurship Center, will be hosted in partnership with the University’s Center for Social Innovation and Enterprise.
