As an associate in Pierce Atwood's Energy Practice Group, Tim has worked on a wide range of matters before state and federal regulators, in addition to energy-related transactions. He is currently representing Maine's largest electric utility in a number of proceedings, including eminent domain and transmission line siting cases, before the Maine Public Utilities Commission.
Prior to attending law school, Tim ran after school programs in Washington County, Maine. Tim is a captain of the Portland Hurling Club.
Recent Experience
- Drafted power purchase and fuel supply agreements for proposed biomass power generation facility
- Advised client regarding obligations related to participation in ISO-NE Forward Capacity Markets
- Assisted clients in assessing state and federal gas safety compliance obligations related to natural gas pipelines, storage, liquefaction and gasification facilities
- Prepared application for approval to furnish service as a gas utility by construction of a landfill gas pipeline, an issue of first impression in Maine
- Represented energy marketers in protest proceedings before ERCOT, CAISO, and FERC.
- Advised and represented electric utility on transmission planning matters, including Order 1000 compliance
