Ronald LaRocca Joins Pierce Atwood's Providence Office

Pierce Atwood LLP is proud to announce that attorney Ronald LaRocca has joined the firm as an associate in its Litigation Group.  Ron will primarily work out of the firm’s Providence, RI office where his practice will focus on commercial litigation.

Ron joins Pierce Atwood after having worked for four years at a medium-size law firm in Rhode Island. He has practiced before all levels of Rhode Island courts, securing hundreds of thousands of dollars in judgments on behalf of commercial clients and routinely guiding clients through the litigation process. He has successfully argued before the Rhode Island Supreme Court and regularly lectures on legal-related issues in public housing.  In 2010, the Rhode Island Bar Association awarded Ron the Lauren E. Jones Award for his article discussing the attorney-client privilege and its application to public bodies. In addition to Ron’s work as a litigator, he is an officer with the United States Navy Reserve, based out of the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. 

During law school, Ron served as the Rhode Island editor of the Roger Williams University School of Law Law Review. He also completed an externship with the Honorable Justice William E. Smith in the United States District Court, District of Rhode Island.

Ron earned his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, cum laude, and his B.A. from Connecticut College, cum laude.     

He is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is a member of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.
