Jack Steele focuses his practice on assisting clients with the formation, acquisition, financing and operation of companies in the technology, internet/media, telecommunications, clean tech, manufacturing, life sciences, financial services, healthcare, real estate and services industries, with primary expertise in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity and venture capital financings. Jack also works closely with startups and entrepreneurs through the firm's Catalyst Program, which provides growth companies with a suite of legal services to help them get their new business off the ground.

Jack also works with clients in connection with a variety of corporate matters that include: SEC reporting and compliance; risk assessment and compliance programs; supply, distribution, licenses, service and joint venture relationships; employment and compensation arrangements; shareholder challenges; internal investigations; and corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining Pierce Atwood, Jack was a partner at Goodwin Procter LLP and McDermott, Will & Emery LLP.  Jack also served as Foreign Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Privatization of the Czech Republic, where he negotiated the sale of state-owned businesses to international buyers and provided counsel to Czech government officials.
