As a member of the Employment and Litigation Practice Groups, Michelle has worked extensively on matters in federal and state court as well as before the Maine Human Rights Commission.
Michelle's practice focuses on representing employers concerning discrimination, retaliation, immigration, and unionized labor relations issues. Michelle also has experience in a variety of commercial litigation matters.
During law school, Michelle was a member of the Boston University Law Review and a legal writing fellow. Michelle also interned in the legal office at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Prior to attending law school, Michelle taught U.S. History to 8th grade students for several years.
Recent Experience
- Defending clients against complaints filed in federal and state court as well as charges filed at the Maine Human Rights Commission alleging employment discrimination and retaliation
- Representing and advising clients, both with and without unionized workforces, regarding National Labor Relations Board investigations into allegations of unfair labor practices
- Representing clients concerning the defense of charges related to filing and prosecution of foreclosure complaints, including the defense of a class action lawsuit
Honors & Distinctions
Michelle is the recipient of Boston University School of Law Alumni Academic Achievement Award, given to student with highest cumulative grade point average over three years of study.
