As a member of the firm's Trusts & Estates group, Jana's practice involves estate planning, estate administration, trust administration, prenuptial agreements, guardianships and conservatorships, and related tax planning. She works with individuals, families and business executives and owners, all of whom have a variety of different needs and goals. Jana also represents her clients' interests in probate proceedings involving trustee or executor duties, guardianships, trust administration and reformation, and contested estate administrations.
Prior to joining the Trusts & Estates group, Jana worked in the firm's Business Practice Group specializing in Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights. There her practice focused on representing financial institutions, trade creditors, secured lenders and other parties involved in matters under all chapters of the bankruptcy laws, including adversary proceedings, as well as other troubled scenarios such as foreclosures, loan workouts and restructurings.
In addition to bankruptcy and creditor-related work, Jana advised clients on transactional and general corporate matters, such as financing transactions, asset and stock acquisitions, company restructurings, and compliance with securities laws.
