Pierce Atwood is pleased to announce that attorney Jack Steele has joined the firm as partner in its Business Group. He joins the firm after most recently practicing at Goodwin Procter LLP.
From the firm’s Boston office, Jack focuses on assisting clients with the acquisition, financing and operation of companies in the technology, internet/media, telecommunications, manufacturing, life sciences, financial services, healthcare, real estate and services industries, with primary expertise in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity and venture capital financings. He also works with clients in connection with a variety of corporate matters that include: SEC reporting and compliance; risk assessment and compliance programs; supply, distribution, licenses, service and joint venture relationships; employment and compensation arrangements; shareholder challenges; internal investigations; and corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining Pierce Atwood, Jack practiced at Goodwin Procter LLP and McDermott, Will & Emery LLP. Jack also worked as a Foreign Legal Advisor of the Ministry of Privatization of the Czech Republic where he negotiated the sale of Czech state-owned businesses to international buyers and provided counsel to officials of the ministry and other professional advisors.
Jack received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.A. from Amherst College. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
When he’s not practicing law, Jack is the President of the Swampscott Youth Soccer Association, a Trustee of the Masonic Angel Fund,and the Founder and Head Coach of the North Shore Rovers Special Olympics Soccer Club.
