Dan has been a member of Pierce Atwood's Litigation Practice Group for over 20 years. His practice focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial, and probate litigation. Dan has handled thousands of cases in his career and has a wealth of experience that he brings to bear on all of his cases. He is known as a problem solver and is particularly adept at finding creative solutions to difficult cases.
While still in college and law school, Dan served as a combat engineer officer in the National Guard. He joined Pierce Atwood directly out of law school. Dan's early years of practice were dedicated to representing insurers and their insureds. This early background has proven invaluable to his current practice in which he spends most of his time representing plaintiffs.

Martindale-Hubbell. He has recently received the General's Coin from Major General John W. Libby, Adjutant General of the Maine Army National Guard. This coin was given to Dan in recognition of the 10th anniversary of Dan's creation and operation of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association's Military Assistance Project, in which Dan manages a state-wide program matching soldiers in need of legal services with attorneys willing to provide pro-bono assistance.
