Michele E. Kenney


Michele is the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Portsmouth, NH, office and a member of the Litigation Practice Group.  Her practice focuses on commercial litigation.  She represents multi-national corporations as well as medium and smaller size businesses in a broad range of disputes in trial and appellate courts.  She has, for example, assisted clients in disputes involving distribution agreements, lease agreements, insurance contracts, trade secrets, unfair competition claims, employment claims, fiduciary duty claims, and negligence claims.  Michele appears regularly in federal and state courts in New Hampshire.

Before joining Pierce Atwood, Michele was a litigation associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, in New York City, where her practice focused on commercial and appellate litigation in federal courts.

Michele has also served as a law clerk in two federal court clerkships, with the Honorable Theodore H. Katz of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Honorable Max Rosenn of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
