Michele E. Kenney


Michele is the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Portsmouth, NH, office and a member of the Litigation Practice Group.  Her practice focuses on commercial litigation.  She represents multi-national corporations, medium and smaller size businesses, and national and regional financial institutions in a broad range of disputes.  She has, for example, assisted clients in litigation involving fiduciary duty claims, negligence claims, unfair competition claims, employment claims, trade secrets, and disputes involving distribution agreements, lease agreements, and insurance contracts.  Michele appears regularly in federal and state courts in New Hampshire.

Before joining Pierce Atwood, Michele was a litigation associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, in New York City, where her practice focused on complex commercial and appellate litigation in federal courts.

Michele has also served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Theodore H. Katz of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and to the Honorable Max Rosenn of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
