Pierce Atwood Named for Third Year in a Row to National Law Journal's Midsize Hot List

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

For the third year in a row, Pierce Atwood LLP has been named to the National Law Journal’s “Midsize Hot List” – the only New England law firm to be selected for this honor for three consecutive years.  The 2012 Midsize Hot List ranks the top 20 firms across the country that “are good at what they do, but they’re also good at how they do it.”  This recognition is awarded annually to firms with 51 to 150 lawyers who have “demonstrated creative strategies to stay competitive.”

The article highlights that Pierce Atwood is known for its ability to handle complex litigation matters and midmarket mergers and acquisitions, both growth areas for the firm.  Also noted were the firm’s energy, environment, intellectual property, privacy and data-security practices.

Further, the article highlighted the firm’s expanding presence and strong value proposition.  Now with seven offices, the Portland, Maine office remains the largest, allowing the firm to maintain highly competitive rates.  And, the firm has carefully expanded its footprint regionally and into Washington, DC, retaining its distinctive culture while still providing exceptional value and service to clients across a larger geographic area.

“We are proud to be included on this list for the third year in a row,” Managing Partner Gloria Pinza said. “It’s a terrific testament to have the hard work and talents of our attorneys and staff recognized in a prominent publication like the National Law Journal.”
