Pierce Atwood LLP Named to the National Law Journal Midsize Hot List For Second Year In a Row
We are pleased to announce that Pierce Atwood has again been honored as one of “the firms that clearly stand apart from your everyday firm” with inclusion in this year's National Law Journal 2011 Midsize Hot List. According to David L. Brown, NLJ’s editor in chief, the twenty firms included on the list “have demonstrated innovative strategies to stay competitive, developed new business strategies, formed new practice areas or creatively managed their teams of attorneys.”
The NLJ noted that Pierce Atwood’s “courtroom prowess” and “mix of specialty practices like energy, intellectual property and banking compliance have propelled [the firm] to regional and growing national renown.” The NLJ cited our strategic expansion into Boston, Providence, R.I., and Washington, D.C., as well as our recent successes in high-profile multidistrict data breach and privacy litigation and in negotiating for and licensing new smart grid technology, as examples of how Pierce Atwood is one of the firms that “sets the standard for midsize practice.”
We are also proud to have been singled out for the pro bono work we have done for Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders.
Our Managing Partner Gloria Pinza said that inclusion on the list for two years "is a special honor, and a wonderful tribute to the hard work and talents of our attorneys and staff. We know we offer exceptional value to clients – it is nice to see that recognized in a prominent publication like the National Law Journal.”
